And of course local musicians have stepped up to entertain us by live-streaming concerts while we practice social distancing. Instead of "passing the hat," many have PayPal or Stripe links on the livestream pages so you can thank them for livening up your 5th, 6th, or 7th weekend at home by offering up a virtual cover charge or tip.
Finally, many entertainment venues are offering some kind of online fare during this time.
Blue (on Congress Street), for instance, has moved their much anticipated BlueFest online, so you can still celebrate their 15th anniversary with them during a four-day event from April 29th-May 2nd. And Portland House of Music has put together a Locked Down with HOME series of live-streamed concerts, too.
Together, we can help our local businesses get through to the other side of this thing.
We've got this, Portland.
